For many local investors in the Philippines, there are a couple of sure investment avenues to be found. Chief among them is usually properties within the real estate sector. 

Where it gets tricky is finding the right locations where one should make these investments. A cursory look through social media or Google can easily lead you astray. When every location outside and inside Metro Manila is branded as a “prime investment opportunity!” it can be confusing to know where to really look.

So if you’re considering real estate investment in the Philippines, you need to look for certain hotspots of development. In recent years, both government and private sectors have begun focusing on creating new economic opportunities while also adding more transportation options. 

Las Pinas for example, was chosen as the site of a project called the Gold Coast Entertainment City. It’s a Vertex Entertainment project which is said to have driven up significant interest in the surrounding properties in recent months. The project was notably spearheaded by the likes of entrepreneur and politician Manny Villar. 

In terms of developments in the public transportation sector, there’s been quite a few projects that have surfaced over the past few years. Several MRT projects alone are already in development. One of the most promising seems to be the MRT-4 Project which will connect Cainta and Taytay by the given date of 2029.

The ongoing NLEX-SLEX Road Connector project is on track for completion by the end of the last quarter of 2023. Similarly, the well-known Metro Manila Subway project (which covers about 17 stations between East Valenzuela and NAIA Terminal 3) is heading for partial operational status by 2025, with full operations by 2029.
